She is a proud alumna of Hofstra University, and has affiliations with the Wellness Counsel of America (WELCOA). She is a board member of Hospitality Industry Professionals (HIP-Atlanta), and a member of Henry County SHRM and SHRM Atlanta. She believes her activism will demonstrate the importance of wellness to support professionals in human resources, benefits, and hospitality.

Wellness has always been a way of life for Dawnyse. From taking care of injured athletes, rehabbing musculoskeletal surgeries from the general population, giving health presentations to church organizations, teaching fitness classes for schools, or personally participating in race events on the weekends. She has always found herself trying to bring awareness to others on how to Get Fit and Stay Fit.
